I came to NYC from Maryland 15 years ago to be an actor, and had a wonderful time doing that~ on stage, in film and TV~ whenever I could find the work. I came to the decision to begin another career in 2003, and just completed a Masters in Social Work in 2007. I'm now working as a Case Manager/ Social Worker at an Assisted Living residence in Manhattan.Its been challenging, these first four months, after all the theoretical work, to finally be doing the work! The people I'm working with are complex and fascinating, most of the time; and I'm exhausted and grateful at the end of the day. My acting and art must be second for awhile and though. Its hard in a way; in another, I know  its time.
I love performing in theatre and creating art with mixed media. I hope to eventually unite these loves in my therapeutic practice with children and families.

After 2001, everything changed for me, except my belief in God. I know that my faith will always carry me to shore. There have been storms, but great stretches of sunshine too. My life has held many surprises these last few years, and while I have been so loved, I have lost so many things I never thought I would. I have great respect for the time we are given now. I don't feel old really; just aware now, of how precious time is, and how much I want to be part of something good, and real and positive.
