I came to NYC 15 years ago to be an actor, and had a wonderful time doing that~ on stage, in film and TV~ mostly theatre, since that's what I really love. I began another career this year, after completing a Masters in Social Work in 2007. Going back to school after a 20 year absence was the best thing for me. It re-energized me, gave me a way out of a bad situation, and helped me to believe, once again, in finding the opportinity in crisis. I will admit, striving for so long in such a competitive field as show business had taken a toll on me. I'm now working as a Case Manager/ Social Worker in NYC. It is challenging, stressful; rewarding, frustrating; encouraging and daunting-all at once! Most days I have to remind myself that I am not working alone, and  to …just breathe. The people I'm working with are more complex (and exasperating!) than I ever imagined they would be. At the end of the day, I feel I'm doing what one of my favorite teachers simply called, 'good work'.

I'm still acting and creating mixed media pieces, collaborating with friends on projects, and working in children's theatre. I hope to eventually unite these loves in my therapeutic practice with children and families.

After 2001, everything changed for me. My life was, like so many people living in New York, ripped out  by the roots-and now I can honestly say- re-planted in new soil. The only thing that did not change was my belief in God. I know that my faith will always carry me to shore. My life has held many surprises, especially these last few years, and while I have been truly loved, I have lost so many things I never thought I would. I have great respect for the time we are given now. I don't feel old really; just aware now, of how precious time is, and how much I want to be part of something good, and real and positive. Sometimes
I feel there is so little time to do some good. I truly want to leave the world a better place.
I teach Yoga, love  to sing, paint, read, swim, smile and love. Especially Love…
